Ioachim In the beggining was the word

Real life sucked this last month. And that made me suck at ‘dorfing too, and I lost all the no-loserness I had  :(
I apologize to all my fans that were expecting the last two updates, and I promise that there is going to be at least a crappy non-update post the next time my life is sucked into a vortex.

Looks like posting unrelated thing like they are important to each game is becoming a custome in this competition (I’m looking at you, Gruedorf), so I’m going to make the same. This will be an art attack update.

Get out the head(ing) first

As you know, the name for the game was invented almost randomly. But the logo was different story.

An early attempt of a logo was this:

It looked good on paper, but the more I tried coloring it, the less convinced I was. This went to the bottom of my hard disk and was forgotten.

Some day during lunchtime at college I was bored and sketched a logo on my notebook, and fell in love. Next thing I did at home was to redraw it on Creature House Expression:

That’s a lot better than the first one, at least in the text department. The idea when it was sketched was to have a text only logo. I noticed that the long bar across the letters didn’t look as good as expected, and the width and kerning was very inconsistent. After a lot of modifications, merging some ideas form the original logo, and some tweaks, the current (alpha version) of the logo was born, with alternative light and dark background:

Opinions on this matter is very welcome.
